Guidelines & Recommendations:

Please let your instructor know of any health concerns, injury, pain or if you are pregnant. Dress in comfortable clothing and bring water.  Bring a ex-large towel or blanket or sheet.  Give yourself space to roll from side to side.

Let your practice meet you where you are, don't push or strain.  Remember this is your practice, honor your body and don't force your body to someone else's pose. This is your personal practice, all bodies are different.  Modify when you need too, rest when you need to and challenge yourself if you are able to.

Let go of expectations, judgement or competition. Stay present moment to moment and use your most powerful tool, your breath to help you ease into a pose, surrender into sensations, relax and let go.   Move slowly and  at your own pace, notice all sensations and Breathe. 

                                Enjoy your practice and remember, Yoga is supposed to be fun!

Good Morning Yoga......Breathe the fresh air and greet the morning with gentle stretching and energizing standing postures for balance & strength. This class is designed to help you evolve physically, mentally & spirtually.  Increase flexibility, lubricate the joints, ligaments & tendons & tone the body head to toe. Relax and reduce the stresses of our busy lives.  Improve your breathing, expand your lungs and your awareness as you flow with breath and movement, a meditation in motion.

A great class for beginners and all levels.  A Heart Centered flow of gentle deep stretching to increase flexibility,reduce stress and tension and increase the flow of vital energy, increasing strength, balance and focus, aligning with the elements of your body, while deepening the breath to open and expand the lungs, followed by a guided relaxation to restore the body and the mind.

Yin Yoga is a practice that helps you find a place of peace and quiet within yourself.
Yin yoga focuses on connective tissue and gives us the feeling of ease and lightness in the body
and flexibility in the joints.
Holding a stress on connective tissue for several minutes creates a change in its fluids, which
results in a lengthening of the tissue and a feeling of ease.  It also allows a greater movement of energy through the tissues which promotes healing.
The Sound Vibrations of the Crystal Bowls resonate with the fluids in our cells and tissue which
also promotes healing.



 

Restorative/Therapeutic Yoga
with the Healing Vibrations of the Crystal Bowls

Take a break…….. Let your body return to its natural state.
Deal with the tensions of life with a relaxed, loose body.
Gentle, Calming & Therapeutic Restorative Yoga use supportive props & emphasizes "Surrendering to gravity, being with sensations" to allow for total relaxation in every pose.

Hatha Yoga Flow with Ally
This class is appropriate for all levels, and will include flow postures, sun salutations,
and meditations.  This class will help you melt away your worries and strengthen

Prenatal Yoga is a great way for expectant moms to stay fit and strong during pregnancy, while connecting with other moms in the community.  Ally teaches private sessions ideally suited for any part of your pregnancy.  She covers standing poses to build strength and flexibility, seated poses, and meditation and breathing exercises that will be useful during delivery.

Do to the many dis-ease in my life I stopped for 7 years doing yoga.  In the past I had brilliant yoga teachers, but Lata has been the best.  Lata has taught me to be patient & gentle with myself and gave me hope in getting better in time.  I like Lata's approach in teaching yoga, in a very short time it has been very satisfying & showing great results.  When I start yoga with Lata I had high cholesterol, diabetes, with dangerous sugar levels, which sent me many times to the hospital with rapid heart beats, which made it worst having a metallic valve in me.

        

I decided that I was not going
to let fear take a hold on me.



I started yoga with Lata.  I did fear that I would not be able to practice yoga since my ligaments & veins had been severed through many parts in my body due to the robotic heart surgery that I had.



I was amazed, in one month I already feel my body responding beautifully.  I am beginning to feel vitality and feel better.  I received from my Doctor my lab results & my cholesterol level decreased, my sugar levels were normal and
my diabetes reversed. Better yet, no more rapid heart beats.

Two friends were sitting at my kitchen table the other day and the subject turned to Yoga. One of them, Anne, had never experienced Yoga with Lata and she was working with another instructor and telling us they were doing kundalini practice and she asked me what kind of Yoga we were doing?



I thought about it for a second and replied "
It's the kind of Yoga where you feel you are being lovingly held through each pose, guided in each phase of breath and completely nurtured in your practice so you find yourself capable of melding mind, body, spirit in ways you never imagined!"



I closed my eyes and went back to a day at beach Yoga. I believe it was the very beginning of class. I remember, as we were lying on the soft warm sand with the relaxing sea sounds enveloping us, Lata described our practice being supported by the Earth and uniquely informed by our own highest consent. In that instance I could feel a sentience from deep beneath me fully supporting my being and connecting with my True Self with a powerful pulsating frequency. It was something very familiar that I had lost touch with and that I can only describe as soul nourishment. On that particular day and on many other occasions I can recall, Lata has been able to tap into other dimemsions and make their gifts easily accessible to all of us with her vivid guided imagery, expressive voice and mastery of the art of yoga. Many times I find myself being embraced by the Universe and able to energetically open to the flow of life moving through from unseen realms. I walk away from these sessions filled with joy and
enthusiasm. I also find I am able to "see" and utilize this flow of life in my everday experience and private practice.



I am able to remain calm when that is needed. I am able to open my heart with wild abandon when that is how I feel, and I also feel totally protected and safe doing the most outrageous things! For the first time since I was a kid I have found myself on several occasions laughing so hard I am crying.



Reflecting on the orginal question now, I am smiling. Anne probably wanted to know if it was hatha yoga, power yoga, asht-anga yoga or another name for the myriad of yogic forms that you may find today.



I guess you could call it "Loving Light Yoga" and that sometimes mere words can never describe it all.



So I hope my friend Anne, and maybe you too, will join us at
